The Subaru upgrade Manager will directly train and manage a staff of employees who are working with customers that currently service a car, crossover, or SUV with us and assisting them in upgrading their vehicle. This position is the image and face of our Sales and Service Department to our customers. We need enthusiastic, helpful people on our team who will do their very best to make a sales transition in a new vehicle.

Your staff will be primarily green pea sales consultants that are going through the Ciocca sales career path. It is critical that the person who manages this department enjoys training and coaching, has very high energy, and considers themselves a “morning person”.

The upgrade manager needs to have the mentality of being a member of the service department that happens to manage a team of professionals who sell cars. The department already exists within the service operation, but we need a self-motivated, hands-on, leader to manage the overall customer experience. Service retention, automotive sales volume, sales gross profit, and CSI are all critical metrics to managing the department.



Job Duties:

  • Provide Vehicle Upgrade options to clients in the Service Department of our Dealership

  • Identify qualified opportunities for sales staff

  • Obtain customer information and keep an accurate database using Vinsolutions CRM.

  • Work with customers while in for service for possible upgrade opportunities

  • Improve overall customer satisfaction for service customers and current owners

  • Required to analyze data and track performance of department

  • Stay up to date on current manufacture incentives and current sales specials the dealership is offering.

  • Ability to coach, lead, train, and mentor people

  • Ability to appraise trade vehicles, pencil deals, and T.O. customers

  • Ability to multi-task in a sometimes high-stress, demanding environment

  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times

  • Extensive face to face/phone/email interaction

  • 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday

Job Requirements

  • Automotive Sales experience

  • Sales manager or service manager experience

  • Finance & Insurance experience is a plus

  • Ability to appraise vehicles

  • CDK/ Vinsolutions knowledge a plus

  • Experience handling in/outbound calls

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organization & ability to multi-task

  • Thrive in fast paced environment

  • Positive attitude and a team player!

  • Strong PC and Internet Skills
