Do you have automotive sales experience but are tired of working nights and weekends? Are you a morning person? If your answer is yes to both of those questions, then this may be the job for you. We have a rare opportunity for you to not work another night again, unless you choose to by appointment, but still have the ability to earn the great living of high performing sales consultants in the automotive industry! We will pay a salary plus commission, give you every other Saturday off, and when you work a Saturday, you get Monday off so you’ll always have a 2-day weekend!
As a vehicle exchange specialist, you will work with customers that currently service a car, crossover, or SUV with us and assist them in upgrading their vehicle. This position is the image and face of our Sales and Service Department to our customers. We need enthusiastic, helpful people on our team who will do their very best to make a sales transition in a new vehicle while being respectful of the fact that our clients choose to service with us and we don’t want to jeopardize that relationship.
The exchange specialist needs to have the mentality of being a member of the service department that happens to sell cars. The department already exists within the service operation, but we need a self-motivated, hands-on, leader to maximize this opportunity. Service retention, automotive sales volume, sales gross profit, and CSI are all critical metrics to your success.
You will have over 100 clients per day to choose from. It will then be your job to narrow that down and determine who the top 20 are each day that need to be spoken to. Nowhere else will give you the opportunity to talk to that many people per day who already have either bought from us or currently service with us. It is a gold mine for a professional sales person that is untapped. You will have access to all equity mining tools and customer database. Just because they are someone else’s customer does not mean you can’t sell them a car.
Job Duties:
  • Provide Vehicle Upgrade options to clients in the Service Department of our Dealership
  • Identify qualified opportunities
  • Obtain customer information and keep an accurate database using Vinsolutions CRM.
  • Work with customers while in for service for possible upgrade opportunities
  • Improve overall customer satisfaction for service customers and current owners
  • Required to analyze data and track performance
  • Stay up to date on current manufacturer incentives and current sales specials the dealership is offering.
  • Ability to multi-task in a sometimes high-stress, demanding environment
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times
  • Extensive face to face/phone/email interaction
  • 7:30am to 6:30pm Tuesday through Thursday, Alternate Monday/Saturday off.

Job Requirements

  • Automotive Sales experience
  • Sales manager or service manager experience is a plus
  • Finance & Insurance experience is a plus
  • CDK/ Vinsolutions knowledge a plus
  • Experience handling in/outbound calls
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organization & ability to multi-task
  • Thrive in fast paced environment
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong PC and Internet Skills
  • Submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
